7 Skincare Tips For Your Boobies

You come across things like almond oil as a face moisturiser, aloe vera to treat irritated skin, ghee for overall skin health and the like. But how many times do you read or hear conversations about skincare for your boobs? Hardly ever! And this because the thought that skincare is all your caring for your face, or at the most your neck, is ingrained in your minds. But the reality is – there’s skin all over your bodies, so much so that it is the largest organ that we humans possess. And, hence, it is about time that we start talking about skincare for our breast friends as well.

So, here are 7 skincare tips for your boobies.

1. Wash over, under, & all around your ta-tas

Every nook and cranny in your body needs TLC in the real sense of the term through skincare and in various other ways. And, duh, skincare definitely doesn’t mean only the skin of your face. A lot of you, or maybe even most of you, are so obsessed with your face that you believe that skincare is restricted to just your face, and not even your neck. The truth is every part of your skin from your face to the tip of your feet needs to be taken care of, including every inch of your boobs.

2. Moisturise your breast friends with a hydrating body lotion

Moisturisation is the Holy Grail for keeping every nook in your body well hydrated, soft, and supple. For your breasts, it keeps them hydrated, supple, and perky. However, the moisturiser for your face isn’t usually the best suited for your boobs – more often than not. Make sure that you use a moisturiser that is enriched with the goodness of vitamin C and is devoid of alcohol-based ingredients as that tends to dry out the skin on your boobies.

3. Sun protection is a must for your boobies

Remember the summer days when you want to slip into a noodle strap number? Those days aren’t few for most of you! But when you do that, you expose your skin to the harmful UV rays of the sun. As it is, the skin on your boobies is delicate and exposure to the sun can weaken it further. What’s more, the skin on the chest area is prone to sunburn, dark spots, and wrinkles. So, the next time you step out into the sun in a strappy number, make sure you’ve dabbed on enough sunscreen on your chest. For an added layer of protection, carry a hat or cap with you to protect yourself from the ultraviolet rays, preferably along with a scarf to wrap around your neck.

4. Powder your underboobs to prevent sweat build-up

Talcum powder to the rescue! Talcum powder has properties that soak up perspiration, which is so common especially in your underboobs. And when that happens, ghamoriya becomes a reality. Keep the area clean and perspiration-free by spraying some powder even before you have started sweating.

5. Stimulate collagen & blood circulation with self-massages

You already know about the frequent breast checkup you should do at home for checking on the presence of a breast lump. Or other unusual symptoms that might be the early signs of breast cancer. But checking your breasts isn’t essential for healthcare reasons but skincare as well. It improves blood circulation and also encourages collagen production that keeps your breasts healthy, supple, and firm.

6. Say ‘No” To Crash Dieting

Losing a significant amount of weight within a short period of time might be tempting but not ideal. Because it isn’t good news for your breast health. Losing a lot of weight within a short span makes your skin droop, which means that your breasts become saggy, loose, and wrinkle-ridden. Hence, it’s best to lose weight gradually through a healthy diet and fitness routine. Exercise at least 3 to 4 times a week and complement it with a balanced diet.

7. Don’t Smoke

Smoking hampers smooth blood circulation and cuts oxygen supply to your skin. It also adversely affects collagen and elastin, the two types of proteins that are responsible for firm skin. Smoking results in sagging and dull skin, along with wrinkles, affecting the overall skin health.
