1. Try Not To Prolong Your Shower
On an average, a single person can use up to 64 litres of water per day. That’s almost 16 days worth of drinking water and that’s just a shameful waste. Which is why bucket baths are recommended. If it’s not your thing, try alternating your shower days with bucket baths and if you have to, shower for less than 5 mins. Showering efficiently in less time is one of the simplest and most effective strategies to conserve water.
2. Put A Plastic Bottle In Your Toilet Tank
FOR THIS, YOU NEED TO WEIGH DOWN A ONE-LITRE BOTTLE, ADD AN INCH OR TWO OF SAND OR PEBBLES TO THE BOTTOM. FILL THE BOTTLE WITH WATER AND PLACE IT SAFELY AWAY FROM THE TOILET’S OPERATIONAL MECHANISM IN YOUR TOILET TANK.
3. Close Your Tap

4. Reduce Food Waste

RAINWATER HARVESTING CAN BE DONE SIMPLY BY DIVERTING RUNOFF TO BASINS AROUND YOUR PLANTS OR COLLECTING IT IN A RAIN BUCKET. OR STORAGE TANKS AND PUMPS.
7. Fix Water Leaks
Water leaks are one of the major sources of wasted water. You are paying for water that you are not using when you have a leak. Every year, more than a trillion litres of water is wasted in Indian households due to leaks. By repairing leaks, a single home can save thousands of litres of water per year on average.
8. Save Water From RO Filters

WHEN CLEANING YOUR SIDEWAYS, GALLERIES AND PARKING SPACES AT YOUR HOUSE, USE A BROOM TO CLEAN THE DIRT. HIGH PRESSURE HOSES CAN USE UP LOTS OF WATER.
