Knotty Art by JadeXRoh
JadeXRoh by Rashmi Pushpakar is the brainchild of a doting mother who, in between raising two wonderful daughters and rediscovering herself, delved into her creative interests and found her solace in the age-old practice of macramé. This helped her earn for herself and establish herself as an entrepreneur.
An interior designer by qualification, Rashmi has a vast knowledge of interiors as well as latest trends in the field and hence, knows exactly what would work best for a certain space. She designs all her products to fill these corners accordingly. Interested in various art forms like dance and painting, she decided to give herself a chance to kick-start her career as a macramé artist in a hope to make her own identity in the world of entrepreneurship.
The brand designs a wide variety of home decor products that include key-chains, bookmarks, dream-catchers, wall hangings, coasters, candle holders and much more, to give your home a cosy, personal and stylish touch.
Macramé is an art that has thrived through centuries. The carefully knotted artefacts can enhance the ambience of your home at prices that are affordable for most people. The prices of various products range between Rs 200 to Rs 1,000 with customisations available in numerous colours, shapes and sizes.
You can head to Instagram to find and shop her splendid collection of gorgeous macramé products.
Tarot Speaks by Sapnaa Khemani
A professional expert in Occult Science, Sapnaa Khemani founded Tarot Speaks. It includes Tarot card reading, Numerology, Nadi Astrology, Palmistry, Vastu, Signature analysis, handwriting analysis, brand and logo analysis, and dowsing. She has been practising since 2006 and has also been teaching the same since 2012.
Sapnaa was a teacher in a school before she ventured into this. She started learning occult science side by side as a hobby which later turned into a passion, and then a profession. The brand name Tarot Speaks by Sapnaa Khemani came about because of the fact that the tarot cards don’t only guide her, but also speak to her! She is pleased that this profession is not limited to a certain section of the audience.
She started her journey when she was just pursuing occult science as a hobby. With time, she realised it’s something she wanted to pursue in order to make others’ lives better. All these years of practice have only contributed to her expertise. Being a professional healer, she has seen people struggle who had nowhere to go.
Before the pandemic, she would conduct consultations in her office in South Delhi. Now, she has expanded her mediums and has been taking consultations online through video and phone calls. You can connect with Sapnaa via social media.
Social Counselling by Fertility Dost
The social apathy and a general lack of awareness and communication about infertility in the Indian society pushed blogger and entrepreneur Geetanjali Banerjee to start her platform, Fertility Dost. This technology-driven startup dedicated to managing fertility was born out of Gitanjali’s own infertility problems, including miscarriages. Through Fertility Dost, she helps women suffering through the same turmoil she was once going through.
Geetanjali holds a post-graduation in social sciences from JNU, had a robust corporate career and was even a content writer. For 10 years, while she was working in corporations, she was also going through her fertility journey, which included 5 miscarriages, failed IVFs, and a brush with ovarian cancer. And she was observing all the social apathy, and a lot of hush-hush around this subject and confusion about the treatments. Once her last IVF was successful and she had her child, she focused more on her existing blog. With the thought of sharing her story to encourage women, she began the Fertility Dost journey.
It unofficially started as a blog and closed FB group which, in 2017, received the first grant and that came from IIT Delhi under the women entrepreneurship programme for creating social impact. All the programmes are delivered online through WhatsApp, phone calls, emails and other online platforms. They are a tech-enabled company. You can connect with them via their website or on social media.
