Sargam Koushal did India proud on the international forum of the Mrs World beauty pageant by winning the crown on 17th December. She is the second woman from India to have clinched the title since the launch of this pageant in 1984, after beating 63 other participants.

1. Educational Background
Born and brought up in Jammu & Kashmir, the 32-year-old Sargam completed her schooling from Presentation Convent Sr. Secondary School and then graduated in English Literature from Jammu University.

2. Professional Background
Wearing multiple hats, Sargam is a painter and content writer, apart from being a model. She discovered her passion for modelling only after her marriage. She also has professional experience as a teacher at Visakhapatnam.
Before winning Mrs World 2022, Sargam had participated in and won the Mrs India beauty pageant in June of this year. She was adjudged the winner by an expert panel of judges that included prestigious names from across industries like Aditi Gowatrikar, Mohammad Azharuddin, Soha Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi, and couture designer Masumi Mewawalla.
3. Family Background
Sargam was born on 17th September 1990. The Virgoan hails from a family of 4 – her banker father, GS Kaushal, her mother, Reema Khajuria, and a younger brother, Manthan Kaushal.

4. Personal Life
Mrs World 2022 started dating Aditya Manohar Sharma, an Indian navy officer, in 2015. They tied the knot in 2018 and then moved to Mumbai from her hometown after getting married.
5. Performance At Mrs World 2022
With her newly boosted confidence as a Mrs India 2022, Sargam gave tough competition to her co-participants at the global event with the way she presented herself. She made immaculate choices with her couture, draping a traditional Kashmiri dress, designed to perfection by the label Wazir C. She paired the dress with a contrasting white veil with the quote “Let Peace Prevail” etched on it. This way, she not only represented her country with elan but also paid a befitting tribute to her birthplace that is perennially enshrouded under disorder and disorder.
She placed her bets on an exotic peacock-themed ensemble for the national costume round – yet again proudly representing the country on the international platform. The ensemble was designed by Eggie Jasmin, an Indonesian designer.
That’s not all! Sargam dazzled in a shimmery pink slit dress, designed by Bhawna Rao for the final evening gown ground. Intricately embroidered with threads of the same hue as the base, she ensured that she stayed in the limelight.
